Prioritising longevity.

NAD+ is a coenzyme found in all living cells and is involved in many important processes: energy metabolism, DNA repair, gene expression, maintenance of physiological functions of the body and regulation of aging.   The molecular weight of NAD+ is too large to be absorbed by the human body directly. Liposome is an artificial membrane that wraps NAD+, protects NAD+ and delivers it directly to the intestinal wall and then disintegrates to release NAD+, making the absorption rate of NAD+ close to 100%.

FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got the answers...

What is Calcium Alpha-Ketoglutarate (Ca-AKG) and why is it great?

Calcium Alpha-Ketoglutarate (Ca-AKG) is a stable, easily absorbed form of alpha-ketoglutarate—a compound naturally found in the body that plays a vital role in metabolism, cellular energy, and overall cellular function.

As we get older, our natural levels of AKG drop dramatically, which has prompted growing interest in supplementing it to help counteract some age-related changes.

AKG is known to support cellular regeneration and helps power essential processes during times of growth, repair, and recovery. It also contributes to protein metabolism and supports both digestive and kidney function.

By the age of 80, our AKG levels may fall to just 10% of what they were at 40, making supplementation a promising strategy for supporting long-term health and vitality.

The calcium-bound version, Ca-AKG, improves absorption and bioavailability—making it a practical and efficient way to access AKG’s potential benefits, which may include reduced frailty and improved overall wellness as we age.

A key 2020 study by Dr. Brian Kennedy and researchers at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging showed promising results for Calcium Alpha-Ketoglutarate (Ca-AKG) in extending health span and lifespan—in mice.

Ca-AKG extended median lifespan in mice by ~12% for females and ~10% for males.

Health span improvements were even more significant: the treated mice remained healthier and more active as they aged.

The compound appeared to reduce levels of systemic inflammation, a major driver of aging.

Mice supplemented with Ca-AKG looked and behaved younger, showing better posture, fur quality, and activity levels.

So, whilst it’s early days in the timeline of clinical studies, if these outcomes are replicated in humans, then we are looking at an extra 7-9 years of healthy life span.

How should I take this supplement?

It’s recommended to take the suggested serving daily, preferably with water or juice. Always follow the dosage instructions on the label or consult your healthcare provider before starting.

How long before I notice results?

Most users report improved energy, focus, and recovery within 2–4 weeks of consistent use. Results may vary depending on lifestyle, age, and overall health.

Is this product safe for everyone?

This supplement is generally safe for adults. However, if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or take prescription medications, it’s best to consult your doctor before use.

Why is liposomal NAD+ considered superior to NAC, NR, or NMN for longevity?

Liposomal NAD⁺ is considered more effective for longevity because it delivers NAD⁺ — the active form your body needs — directly and efficiently, bypassing the need for conversion steps that are required with precursors like NR (Nicotinamide Riboside) or NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide). As we age, our bodies become less efficient at converting those precursors into usable NAD⁺, which can limit their effectiveness. NAC (N-acetyl cysteine), while beneficial, primarily supports glutathione production and doesn’t directly raise NAD⁺ levels. Liposomal delivery also enhances absorption by protecting NAD⁺ as it passes through the digestive tract, making it more bioavailable. This combination of direct action and enhanced uptake makes liposomal NAD⁺ a more reliable and potentially powerful option for those focused on supporting cellular health, energy, and longevity.

When is the best time to take NAD+ with Ca-Akg?

NAD+ can sometimes affect sleep, though not for everyone. The main reason is timing. NAD+ plays a role in energy metabolism and circadian rhythm regulation, so if you take it too late in the day, it can make you feel more alert or restless at night.

A few people also report vivid dreams or lighter sleep when starting NAD+—possibly linked to increased mitochondrial activity or shifts in cellular repair cycles.

Most find it best taken in the morning, alongside food.

Clinical Studies

NAD+ for Cardiovascular Health

Human research published in Nature Communications found that nicotinamide riboside supplementation was well tolerated in healthy middle-aged and older adults and effectively increased NAD+ metabolism. The study also reported encouraging changes in markers linked to cardiovascular health, including blood pressure and arterial stiffness.

NAD+ and Healthy Aging

Human research published in Nature Communications found that high-dose nicotinamide riboside was well tolerated over four weeks and increased blood NAD+ levels by up to five-fold. This adds to the growing evidence base around NAD+ replenishment, cellular energy metabolism and age-related health research.

Ca-AKG and Healthy Aging

Preclinical research published in Cell Metabolism found that calcium alpha-ketoglutarate supplementation supported healthier ageing, with findings linked to increased lifespan for the mice as well as, reduced frailty and a shorter period of age-related decline.

Ca-AKG and Longevity + Biological Age Markers

A human retrospective study published in Aging found that an alpha-ketoglutarate-based formulation was associated with an average reduction of approximately eight years in DNA methylation biological age after around seven months of use.
